Mr Patrick, the headteacher of JKPS, is leaving the school at the end of the year to lead a new life in Portugal.

But before he leaves, we’ve been putting together one final article to give him a big send off for the ages!!! 

We’ve been running around our amazing school asking as many amazing students and teachers some final questions to find out how they feel.

We started at the top of the school, with Jeremy in Year 6 saying he would miss Mr. Patrick’s personality.

He said that the funniest thing he remembers about Mr P is when he teaches the kids. If he had to describe Mr. Patrick using three words, he would say: Kind, grateful and funny.

Leon in Year 5 said that he will miss Mr. Patrick’s sense of humour. And he remembers how funny it was during the World Book Day story when the students made the main character all about Mr. Patrick driving a sports car and becoming a dictator. 

His three words to describe Mr. Patrick were respectful, appreciative and jolly.

Leo in Year 4 said he would miss Mr Patrick being a regular face around school. 

His funniest memories of him are the songs he plays and he described him as kind, selfless and harmless.

Oskar in Year 3 said he will miss Mr. Patrick’s DJ attributes and just him as a person. The funniest moment was when he did the masked singer. Oskar said he was silly, intelligent and kind.

Jude in Year 2 said that he liked Mr. Patrick’s friendliness and he will miss that. And Jude also gave a special mention to the World Book Day story and described him as kind, funny and fun.

Lua in Year 1 said he will miss that he isn’t with us anymore. Lua liked when Mr. Patrick told him a joke and said he was funny, attentive and respectful. 

So as you can see, the students at JKPS really do think Mr. Patrick is great and he has made a big impression on them all – from the youngest all the way to the top of the school. 

In case that wasn’t enough, here are some more nice things the JKPS students wanted to say to Mr. Patrick. 

Emily and Ivy in Year 1 said: “He’s nice, funny and kind.”

Thea in Year 4 said: “I will miss him because he is really friendly and kind.”

Sonny in Year 6 said: “The funniest moment I had was when I was on stage and he told me to calm down.”

We also asked some of the JKPS teachers what they will miss most about Mr. Patrick. 

Ms. Donna said her first memory of Mr. Patrick is him walking through the hall on his first day.

She said she will miss him “because he is calm, kind and approachable.”

Mr. Donovan said he would miss Mr. Patrick “because he is a big part of school life.”

He described Mr. Patrick as warm with a friendly smile.

Mr. Alex, the school caretaker, said: “He is calm, knowledgeable and friendly.” He said that the first time he saw him was at a school performance before he started his job at the school.

The Mog team also hopes that Mr. Patrick might consider returning for next year’s Oktoberfest.

We’d like to say thank you times a million over for everything you have done to help our education.

We hope that you never forget about us in Portugal.

In short, we wish that you and your family enjoy your new life but still keep hold of your beautiful memories of this beautiful school.
