The Golden Whistle: Part 2

BY KIAN AND SEBASTIAN

We are back to give you more information about the golden whistle.

Last week, we got an exclusive interview with Ms. Chantelle who told us exactly what these rumours about a “Golden Whistle” are about and how it works.

We can reveal that so far, no one at JKPS has been given a golden whistle.

But she believes that one student in year 5 might have earned two kindness badges.

If they get one more, they will be the first person in the school to get a golden whistle as a reward.

“We haven’t got to the point where we have to give out the golden whistle yet,” Ms. Chantelle told the Mog Chronicle.

The most exciting thing that Ms. Chantelle told us is that the golden whistle might actually be REAL GOLD. Well, covered in a thin layer of gold which is known as gold plated.

We asked Ms. Chantelle if it was sensible to give children a golden whistle in the playground and if there would be any rules around when they could use it.

“I think it might be a good idea if they can blow it once a week, but not too much,” she said. “I might have to run after them if they keep blowing it.”

The kindness badges are given out to students in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Five have been handed out so far.

“They helped out in the playground, they were really kind to friends and children that they don’t know very well,” she said, about the students who have already received a kindness badge.

“They helped with all different things and they were just being special people outside during our breaktime.”

Ms. Chantelle said it would be really hard for anyone to get two golden whistles but it might not be too long before the first one is handed out.

“No one has got it yet but, it’s coming soon,” she revealed. “It will be a nice gift to children that are doing the right thing, just to acknowledge them.”

Stay tuned as we follow this important story and report back on the first JKPS student to get a real golden whistle!
