Here at the Mog Chronicle we have something to say about the school clubs. We don’t think that they are quite as good as they could be, and we have some ideas about how we could improve them.
A group of our journalists in Year 2 decided to come up with the name of some brand new clubs. We’d love to know what you think – especially you Mr. Patrick!
LANGUAGE CLUB: A club where students are taught a new language by other students in the school.
BOWLING CLUB: You go to a bowling alley and bowl after school.
COOKING & BAKING CLUB: You learn to coook and bake in school. You can then take the recipe home and the things you bake get eaten in club.
MARTIAL ARTS CLUB: You learn different martial arts every week.
LEARNING CLUB: Where you learn other people’s names – or you can think of new names or nicknames for your friends.
CLIMBING CLUB: You go to a climbing wall and climb. Like Substation in Brixton!
MAKE A HOME FOR AN ANIMAL CLUB: You make a home for an animal using wood and other natural materials from the forest school.
MATHS CLUB: You learn mathematical things and practice your maths.
HISTORY CLUB: You learn about famous people who have changed the world.
ROLLERSKATING CLUB: You go to a flat area like the park or an area with skateboard ramps and learn to rollerskate.
And if those ideas weren’t enough, here are even more…
SPY CLUB: In this club, you learn ho wto be a spy and you get given cool stuff that spies use like walkie talkies and invisible pens … and gravel hooks!??
GLADIATOR CLUB FOR KIDS: This club turns you into a real-life Gladiator. You get a Gladiator name and test out different new Gladiator games.
BIG BUBBLEGUM CLUB: You get to blow big bubbles with chewy bubblegum in this club.
SUMO WRESTLING CLUB: You eat lots of rice and learn to be a sumo wrestler. Once you’ve mastered your skills you get to be in a sumo wrestling competition.
JEWELLERY & CHAIN MAKING CLUB: This is a good one for anyone who wants something a bit more relaxing. You can make rings, bracelets, necklaces and key rings.
SHOW & TELL CLUB: You bring in a toy, put it in your bag, and bring it out in this club and tell everyone about it.
We think these clubs are way better than the ones currently on offer. So please Mr. Patrick, let’s make them a reality!
