Teacher of the Term: Mr. Bruno

Who’s ready for the newest issue of “Teacher of the Term!?” And who will win our prestigious award this time?

Here’s a clue: This teacher works mainly in Year 3, but also across the school. It is…………………………

MR. BRUNO!

The reason why we chose Mr. Bruno is because he is a super star and an unsung hero at JKPS. He joined in the school when we (Year 6) were in Year 3 and ever since that, he has been like a parent to us.

We asked the Mog Chronicle team what they most like about Mr. Bruno and they said: “He’s a good friend.” “He’s funny.” “He’s helpful.” “He’s enthusiastic.” “He’s a good hugger.” “He’s empathetic.” “He’s not very strict.”

He’s officially a teaching assistant but in reality, he’s so much more. He mostly teaches Year 3s, he helps with after school clubs, he helps a lot of children who need some extra support. If there is something that needs doing around school, he is the one to turn to.

Ms. Rosa said what she likes most about Mr. Bruno is that he is proactive. “No ask is too much and his priority is the children. He’s here for the children to make their lives and education more pleasant.”

Mr. Patrick also had some lovely words of praise for Mr. Bruno: “He’s got a very good beard!” he said. “And he’s very kind.”

Mr. Tim said: “He’s cool. He has a nice presence and is nice to be around.”

Ms. Lauren said: “He’s got a sense of humour and a big dedication to his job.” And Ms. Lily said: “He’s got a good memory.”

We revealed the good news to Mr. Bruno and asked him what he thought about his new title.
