Have you got a burning question and don’t know who to ask? Look no further. At the Mog Chronicle we are here to help.
If you have any worries or questions you can put them in the ‘MOG’s Agony Aunt box’ above the piano in the lunch hall. We will regularly check these and respond to your queries as soon as we can. Below are some we have already collected.
Yours Sincerely,
MOG’s Anonymous Agony Aunts
I’m new to the school and I’m having trouble making friends. What should I do?
We recommend that you ask to join a game but if you are too shy you could introduce yourself to someone and start a conversation with them using the
conversation spark below:
If a beach could not be sand, would you rather that it was glass pebbles or jelly beans?
Failing that, you could join an after school club, maybe something that you would enjoy doing, so you could have more social interactions.
I’m having trouble in maths, what do you recommend that I do?
The best option would be to ask your teacher to explain it to you but you can also practise using fun websites like times tables rockstars, ATOM (which is not just maths, it has other subjects too), Numbots and more!
I’m really enjoying the sport I am doing in PE and would like to practise more and get better, what would you suggest?
We recommend that you either join an After school club, or sport dependent
practise in your lunch break. We love the fact there are new basketball hoops and children seem to be enjoying and regularly using them. Additionally, the astroturf has been refurbished over the holidays and that is a great place to play if that is your day!
Maybe keep suggesting any equipment that could help your sport – perhaps at school council?
I have a friend who sits at the pack lunch table and I’m not allowed to sit next to her what do you think I should do?
We recommend that you either sit with other friends and talk to her at play or
you ask if she can have school lunch the next day.
Boys have been really silly at lunch but I don’t want to be a tattletale. What do you recommend?
We think that you should tell them to stop and tell them that you will tell a teacher if they don’t stop. If they don’t listen, then tell them off.
