Eco Council: Latest Updates

To make our school more eco friendly, JKPS has decided that an eco council would be a great idea!

It is a chance to let pupils from each class come together and decide how to make our school the best Southwark school. Recently, we interviewed Frank, who is also in the Mog Chronicle, and one of the Year 6 representatives on the Eco Council for Jamie Campbell class.

Question: What is it like being in the Eco Council?

Answer: I think it’s important because I want to protect the school. The school deserves better wildlife.

Question: How many people are in the club?

Answer: There are two people from each year.

Question: How do you feel about the grass at the moment?

Answer: It kinda got ruined at Oktoberfest, I have to admit.

Now, about the grass… Oktoberfest was quite a challenge for the battling beast. Right now, it’s practically on its deathbed. Let’s hope it will grow again.

In late September you might remember that we had the Eco Council assembly in the top hall at JKPS. It was to let students across the school know more about it.

Back to interviewing Frank!

Question: What was it like being on stage?

Answer: I didn’t appreciate that the Year 2s were shouting “poo poo bum bum day”

Question: They did? What were you thinking?

Answer: I was quite annoyed.

Question: What do you do on Eco Council meetings?

Answer: It can be quite stressful, especially the election when it went down to the finale and the whole class had to vote for the Eco Council president.

Question: What do you want to achieve on the Eco Council?

Answer: I want to achieve a better playground for the school.

More updates on the Eco Council coming soon! Thanks for reading.
