What To Expect During JKPS Oktoberfest

This weekend JKPS is celebrating its annual Oktoberfest celebration. Not only is it the biggest fundraiser of the year but a chance for everyone to hang out, have fun and eat loads of sausages. And this year there is an incredible line up of live music too. What could be better?

Oktoberfest is arguably the most popular free event in the neighbourhood. Here is what to expect on the biggest weekend of our school year.

  • Last year 1,440 sausages were sold! Can we beat this record in 2025?
  • The school gates are open from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m.!
  • Last year’s event raised over £17,000 for the school! We will report back on this year’s total and what it will be used for.
  • There are many stands selling wine, beer, lemonade, salad, cake, sausages and more!
  • There will be music from 12pm including a live performance at 2 p.m. by a former JKPS student and songs from the wonderful local Cambria Choir at 3 p.m.
  • We are very pleased to announce a special guest performance by none other than JKPS’ headteacher Mr. Patrick who will perform music for us from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • All eyes are on the grass which was lovingly grown by parents in the Gardening Group over the summer. We will report back next week if it survived!
  • Taking us into the early evening hours will be the one and only DJ Nick from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. His set was a floor filler last year and is not to be missed!

We look forward to seeing you there and we will continue this story with more news next week!
