Wow. I know what you were thinking – and it’s not donuts. It is how did the Gulf of Mexico get changed to the Gulf of America? This is the latest antic by United States President Donald Trump. Now I know you must also be thinking about a nice delicious shiny donut.

STOP! The controversy was crazy. NOT. What happened was that Trump wanted to appeal to his supporters who voted for him in the November 2024 U.S. elections. Trump said the name of this body of water had to be changed, and it stood. It must be part of his plan to “Make America Great Again.”

I bet you have checked this and you’re saying: “This is wrong.” That’s because it depends on where you are in the world when you check GoogleMaps. If you’re in America, it will pop up as the Gulf of America, if you’re in Mexico it will appear as the Gulf of Mexico. And anywhere else in the world it will pop up as both. When we checked GoogleMaps it shows as: Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America). I know it is crazy they have changed it just for America.

Trump also recently banned the Associated Press (AP) journalists from the White House and here at the Mog Chronicle we absolutely stand against this position. Trump is even attacking his neighbours Canada and Mexico. He has placed up to 25% tariffs on goods imported from Canada and Mexico into the U.S. But Trump keeps changing his mind and confusing everybody.

It is sometimes hard to understand Trump but many people voted him in so he’s here to stay. And even if you don’t like him, you have to stick with it for now.
