I am reading “Skandar and the Unicorn Thief” by A. F. Steadman. I really like it because instead of pink fluffy unicorns, these ones are bloodthirsty and can be wild.

The plot of the story is that a boy called Skandar is brought to the island and then discovers that he is an illegal spirit wielder and should be locked away. With him and his friends, throughout the books, they save the island from devastating enemies and create a friendship bond like no other.

There are four books in the current series – but number five is due to be released on August 26, 2025.

This is the first book in the series, but the third one that i have read. This book sets up the story of Skandar and his bonded unicorn.

I would recommend this book for any fans of Percy Jackson – or people who like adventure stories. This book is not for anyone who only wants to read about pink, fluffy unicorns.
