Did you know that one of our very own JKPS parents was one of the writers of the new Paddington movie!? Year 3 dad Jon Foster was one of the mastermind screenwriters behind the new movie which is in cinemas now. Another Year 3 dad Matt Tinsley worked on the visual effects. Fancy that!
Two of the Mog Chronicle team went to see Paddington 3 on its opening weekend and also got to ask Jon all about it.

Did you enjoy making the movie?
Yes, it was very hard but it was very rewarding.
What genre is it?
It is an action adventure movie suitable for family. Kids will love it!
Why did you take Paddington back to Peru?
Because he finds out his Aunt Lucy is really missing him and he really doesn’t want her to be sad. And because we thought it would be really cool to take him back to his homeland.
Were you involved with the production or did you just write the script?
As a writer you are involved with production to the very end to make last minute changes to the script.
Did you get to know the actors beforehand?
Not really because they only came for the filming but I had met Olivia Coleman (who plays the Reverend Mother) before.
What was your favourite part of making the movie?
I would say it’s really fun when you’re right at the beginning with a blank page and anything can happen but I also like when it’s all finished and you have created a masterpiece.
Can you describe the movie in five words?
Adventure. Mystery. Funny. Emotional. Silly.
When I watch the movie, what should I look out for?
There is a moment when you can see the Queen.
What type of characteristics bring the Brown family together?
At the start of the movie, they almost fall apart but because they love each other everything works out ok.
Are you exited to share this movie with your friends and family?
I’m very excited to share the movie with friends, family and everyone at JKPS.
