BY TRISTAN AND JAKE

If you didn’t know already, today is Red Nose Day! People round the country are doing funny, silly things to raise money for good causes.
Comic Relief was set up in 1985 by the comedian and filmmaker Richard Curtis and comedian and actor Lenny Henry. It’s purpose has always been raising money for charity by making the public laugh!
Red Nose Day is the big yearly event which is also a TV Show on the BBC – which is on tonight! The aim is to raise as much money as possible to give to good causes in the UK and around the world.
Tristan and Jake from the Mog Chronicle spoke to Judith Kerr parent Matt Tinsley and his sons Harrison, Year 2, and Sebastian, Reception, who were doing something very special (and very silly) for Red Nose Day…

What did you do today to raise money?
Today we walked all the way to school dressed as animals wearing red noses for red nose day. Our purpose today was to raise awareness for the incredible Red Nose Day, show how much fun it can be and hopefully inspire more people to get involved in future years.
Did you walk to school in a normal way?
No we did a lot of walking in a silly way. We did a lot of walking backwards!
How did it feel doing a silly walk all the way to school?
Embarrassing. It felt embarrassing! But also very funny! So funny and embarrassing.
It wasn’t easy, but ultimately it was worth it being animals all the way to school.

Do you have a joke for Red Nose Day?
What is a pig’s favourite game? Pigaboo!
How much money did you raise?
We have raised an incredible £262! We have a Just Giving page if anyone wants to donate to support us. UPDATE: Thanks to everyone’s generosity, the final total raised is £509!!!
What made you want to do this?
We’ve always loved raising money for charity. And hopefully the school will celebrate Red Nose Day.
