On Wednesday December 13, the whole school went and watched the students in Key Stage 1 perform a funny retelling of the classic Polar Express. Hilarious and well told, Year 1s and Year 2s were fabulous and should be very proud of themselves. With their expressive voices and beautiful costumes, they did not cease to amaze us.
Thanks to their directors their play was a smashing success.

To find out more we interviewed Year 2 teacher Miss Ellen :
“It is a production called the Polar Express. We magpie the script from the Y5 and Y6 when they were in Y1 and Y2. We changed some of the parts, to make it more comedy. The costumes are amazing!”
We also interviewed some of the amazing actors about their starring role:
“The play is really good.I play the main character,” said Theo.
“I play the conductor and I work on the Polar Express,” said Conner.
“We play both a German and an English narrator,” explained Platon and Nathen.
“I play the reindeer and I have some really funny lines,” said Frida.
“I feel excited to be an elf,” said Felix.
“I play a sparkly snowflake, and I do a dance,” explained Lea.
Some memorable moments were the jokes that were so cleverly made, some favourites of ours were:
“What’s a reindeer’s favourite singer?” Answer: Beyonsleigh
“What’s a snowflake’s favourite subject?” Answer: Snow and Tell
“What’s an elf’s favourite type of music?” Answer: Wrap
As you can see this has been a colourful, funny and vibrant play and we wish them lots of luck performing to their parents on Thursday!
